Hi, I saw your adorable costume for the Cat Excavator and wondered if you have instructions for this? Thank you

Hi Sandy,
Thank you for your interest in my Excavator costume. I didn’t put together a tutorial for that costume as I didn’t have the blog back then. Sadly, we no longer have the costume either as it didn’t make the cut in our last big move. I am considering making a new one and posting a tutorial here though, it seems to get lots of hits from Pinterest so I must have struck a chord with that one!

I have purchased the Jodi’s Sweater knitting pattern.
I am unclear how the 2 colour contrast threads are used in the pattern. Pattern says cast on in one colour and braid in another colour. Could you use the one colour for both. If so, would you lose any effect. When you look at the picture, you can’t see a colour variation in the front of the jumper. would appreciate your reply. Thankyou NOLA C

Hi Nola,
Thanks for your question, and for your pattern purchase!
It is a bit difficult to see because the two colours I used are very very similar, but the whole front is done in two-colour brioche. It would be much more obvious if they were a little more different.
You could certainly do the whole front in one colour. Although perhaps another reversible stitch (like a single-colour brioche – http://www.briochestitch.com/archives/onecolorbrioche/one-color-brioche-stitch) would be less labour-intensive for a similar effect.
Let me know if this helps!
